After the opening of their flagship store, a natural next step for Botany was to open a lab whereby they could develop a variety of treatments that showcased the power of their products. The Lab by Botany was born. The treatments incorporate Botany's vegan and organic products, fresh ingredients, and the latest beauty tools and technology to position it as an experience-led brand.

Since the launch of the Botany brand, new up, and coming skincare brands have started to open in Qatar. Through close observation of the market, it was identified that there was an opportunity to build upon the personality of the Botany brand by launching a physical space whereby customers could interact with the brand and its ethos and become members of the community.
The following steps for Botany were to review its brand identity and develop specific touchpoints that could be reflected in a physical Lab that would offer spa-like experiences, akin to a showroom where customers could try and test the products before taking them home. This required the re-developing of the brand assets such as the colour palette and logo, developing a social media and photography style, creating signage, and developing the strategy of how the brand would be applied across uniforms, business cards, packaging, the website, and within the space.
The design needed to incorporate Botany’s attitude to challenge the status quo of the skincare industry. The design needed to tell its own story that preserves the structure from concept to completion. Therefore TSDA was appointed to work on the ideation of the Lab, creative direction, brand strategy, interior design, and project management.
We developed the brand identity so that it could work and thrive as an independent brand while also complementing the other Botany products. Our work positioned Botany to be more than a brand; retail space and Lab allow for more products and demonstration of such products. The space would meet local demands—a community, skincare and global presence and offer the best service and experience for skincare—mixing the latest research in skin care to allow for a unique experience.
