Takumi has developed out of a passion for Japanese food and culture. Unsure of the brand that had been developed, T-SDA worked with the founders to re-think the brand identity before it was implemented. Listening to the founders and understanding their creative vision meant that we could reposition and tweak the brand before it was implemented across all touch points. We produced a brand evaluation report and re-briefed the designers to align the identity according to the founder’s expectations, saving time and money.

Designed so that people could discover and hand-pick creatives to collaborate with, WAASTAA is a visual directory of the makers of the world. We helped the founders create a visual identity and UX design for their director of creators and makers so that users could discover and collaborate with the creative community; celebrating photography, art, music and design from the Middle East & North Africa to the world.

The team at Prickle Plants asked us to help them develop the tone of voice and writing style for their new eCommerce website. We worked with the team to understand how they wanted to be perceived in the market and crafted style and tone guides that would help them craft copy in line with their editorial voice. We also developed a manifesto and wrote all of the evergreen copy for the brand.

We hosted several creative workshops and meetings to understand the brand and its development more. Katarina Premfors hosted her first solo exhibition at The Empty Quarter in Dubai during Ramadan in 2012. "Supplications," which means humble request or prayer was an exhibition that reflected the many facets of Ramadan. T-SDA helped produce this exhibition while working with the Brownbook and Emirates NBD teams.

Working with BOND (Abu Dhabi studio) we developed and strategised the design identity for ‘Wasl', an exhibition that united established designers as well as emerging ones based in the UAE, portraying the diversity of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. The identity reflected a young, fast-paced city that is steeped in cultural heritage, a Dubai that is at once a dynamic metropolis and a rich environmental eco-system.
